A few years ago, I started an e-commerce business. It was a great idea, but it did not work out well. I had no idea how to market my product, how to attract customers, or how to make sales.

In an effort to get people interested in what I had to offer, I tried out many different strategies. I tried Google ads, and even Twitter ads; none of them worked as expected or hoped for.

I was getting frustrated with the lack of success and was ready to give up when one of my friends suggested that I try using social media platforms like Instagram and Pinterest. She told me that these platforms were excellent for promoting products because they attracted a very specific type of customer – women!

I did some research on these platforms and found that there were many women who liked sharing pictures of their children on Instagram and showing off their latest purchases on Pinterest. This was perfect for me as my target market was women aged 25–35!

So, after some time spent learning about these two platforms, I decided to create profiles on both sites and start posting content regularly so that they could become established amongst the other users.
